Commonwealth Games - Celebration of Slavery

Rs.1620 Crore being spent, media concentration, talk of the town. On 22nd September, our prime minister Mr. .Manmohan Singh claimed Commonwealth Games as the PRIDE of the NATION. It was really surprising on our PM’s knowledge & understanding stating commonwealth games as NATION’s PRIDE. I can understand that the illiteracy rate in India is 34% whereas the statement of PM should have been for all the Indians.

Let’s understand what is Commonwealth?

Origin of Word Commonwealth:

First time the word “COMMONWEALTH” was used by Mr. Roseberry, who was Lord of Canada, in 1884, as some of the British colonies were being sovereign, he called all those states as Commonwealth of Nation. The concept was formally passed as an act in British Parliament on 11th December, 1931.

So we can comprehend that the basic reason for making Commonwealth of Nation by British was to satisfy their ego of being a ruler even though their colonies were becoming independent. The Commonwealth of Nation was earlier known as BRITISH COMMONWEALTH.

The Membership:

At present there are 53 countries as member of Commonwealth and most of them are former British colonies or their dependencies. Thus the membership criteria of Commonwealth are that the nation should have been slave of British Monarchy directly or indirectly. The London Declaration Clearly states that a republic country can be member of Commonwealth provided that they recognize the MONARCH (Queen or King of UK) as the Head of Commonwealth; the London Declaration was specially made for keeping India as Member of commonwealth.

The declaration stated “The Government of India have ... declared and affirmed India's desire to continue her full membership of the Commonwealth of Nations and her acceptance of the King as the symbol of the free association of its independent member nations and as such the Head of the Commonwealth”

The Head:

Any Organization is represented by its head, as in case of our country, our President represents our country, and as he / she is elected indirectly by the people (Electoral collage) of India, we call our country as democratic and sovereign. There is no hierarchy system in being President of India. In same way, lets talk about any organization such as SAARC ( South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation ) or any International Organization, like NAM ( Non aligned Movement ). The SAARC secretary is elected in alphabetic order for three years terms. The NAM is run by Secretary General who is elected by all the members.

As affirmed above the overall purpose of Britishers is to show their supremacy as ruler, thus the head of COMMONWEALTH is not elected, she is Queen Elizabeth II of United Kingdom for life time, and she took over as Head of Commonwealth from George VI after his death, who was King of United Kingdom. This clearly shows that COMMONWEALTH is not a democratic organization and all the members of Commonwealth have to accept the head as they were while as slave.

Status of all Nations:

The Motto of commonwealth games is Humanity, Equality & Destiny. Let’s take “Equality” and see where as India we stand in the eye of the Queen Elizabeth – The Head of Commonwealth.

There are 53 countries as member of commonwealth, then how many team will participate in Commonwealth Games 2010 ? This is not simple answer, 71 teams will participate in Commonwealth Games 2010. So the number of member nation and their team are not equal? The reason is very clear, Queen treats its colonies equally; even Indian team is treated as equal to team of Scotland, Wales, England, and Ireland.

The states of United Kingdom are equivalent to any other sovereign countries. It’s something like in SAARC countries meet, UP, Bihar and other states of India are sharing desk with Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Maldives and Sir Lanka.

This is the equality in the eyes of British for other sovereign nation; they still treat them as colonies in Commonwealth Games.

Relationship:

The bridge of relationship between any two countries are its ambassador, but have we ever thought why we sometime call ambassador and sometime High Commissioner ?

The dictionary meaning of Ambassador is “a diplomat of the highest rank; accredited as representative from one country to another” & Commissioner means “a government administrator”

Thus representative of a sovereign country in other sovereign country is called Ambassador, whereas High Commissioner is a government administrator between the commonwealth countries. This is again to dilute the sovereignty of a country and to mentally realize them that once we were slave of British.

Thus an ambassador to Pakistan will be called as High Commissioner, whereas same diplomat if transferred to United States will be called as Ambassador.

The overall purpose of making a Commonwealth Organization of British is to mentally rule the commonwealth Nation and to make them realize that they were once slave.

Celebrating Slavery:

Israel is the only country which is not member of Commonwealth nation till date, even though it was ruled by British.

It is well said; to get respect from others, first respect self.

If this is the Pride of Nation as per our Prime Minister then the citizen of this country should think, where do we really stand? Are we celebrating slavery as Commonwealth Games 2010?

The Murder of Patriotism

A country is as strong as the feelings of Patriotism in its Citizens heart. When patriotism is supported by courage, then it become an action. This action was shown in India during 1857, and is known as the First War of Indian Independence. This war against brutality was crushed by British Christian, with help of few Indians. It is said that approx 40,000 British Christians ruled our country. The population of our country during pre - Independence was approx 35 Crore. Obviously there were many Indian’s who supported British Christians for ruling our country. So basically we can say there was two group in the Society, one which was against the British Christian rule ( patriotic group ) and another who were supporting British Christian for their individual benefit ( The Gaddars ).

There were many revolutionists, who were fighting for Independence of our country. They were either shot dead / hanged by British Christians with the help of their Indian followers ( Gaddars ) or they were imprisoned and there property was attached by British government. The cost they pay for their patriotism was either with life, imprisonment or their property. Most of the young students who left their collage studies in between to fight for the Independence, paid their bright future as the cost of patriotism.

The other groups which were supporting British Christian to loot our country were enjoying their life as bureaucrats and police officers. There main job was to put all patriotic people behind the bars or to shoot them in encounters.

Have we ever thought how we rewarded or punished our Freedom Fighters?

The reality of the country is that all those bureaucrats and police officers were promoted after Independence and were given more responsible post to handle our country. The people who were lacking patriotism were ruling this country again. They never treated this country as their own country before Independence nor after. Once the Britishers left the country, these groups thought themselves as new ruler of India and this mentality gave birth to bribe culture in India. The police officer’s who were torturing our freedom fighter’s before independence, were now promoted to handle Police Stations. These Gaddars were now responsible for accepting complains from our citizens, thus complains were being registered after taking bribe.

Just opposite to this, our patriotic freedom fighters, had to fight case being in Jail and had to prove themselves that they were freedom fighters. Once they came out of prison, they did not have their property, they were not having any job, their family was dieing for food. It took 25 years for India to recognize their efforts and in year 1972 on eve of 25th Independence day, FREEDOM FIGHTER Pension Scheme was launched by Mrs India Gandhi which was regularized in year 1980.

The another surprise was the behavior of Nehru’s congress government with Patriotic soldiers of Indian National Army ( AZAD HIND FAUZ ). With an agreement with Mountbatten, the then Governor General of India, Nehru agreed that none of the Soldiers of INA will be inducted in Indian Army. This was the honor ( dishonor ) shown by Mr. Nehru to the patriotic soldiers who even sacrificed their life for this country.

The act of the biggest Political party which so called fought for the Independence of our country and it’s leaders, was an act of murder of patriotism.

CONGRESS & IT'S DEMOCRACY

Its really unfortunate that a party which so called fought for Independence of India, against the British rule & its anarchy, itself doesn't believe in democracy. The biggest problem after independence was that, being no strong political opposition party in India, congress became a NIRANKUSH party. The hangover of power had overpowered Mr.Nehru. On 15th August, 1947 after Independence, India was declared as a DEMOCRATIC country, it meant that the Government has to be a elected one but unfortunately as the Supreme powerful leaders at that time treated this country as their own property and thus they forgot to go for election. The government which was headed by Congress's Nehru, was ruling this country without proper Election. The first general election was held in FREE INDIA in year 1952, FIVE years after Independence. ( a compulsion due to Constitution ). The excuse can be given for not having election in 1947, due to lack of our own Constitution. Then in this case the first general Election should have been held in year 1950, after constitution came into existence.
This Compulsion of Constitution was arm twisted by Mrs Indira Gandhi by using Article 352. The Sixth General Election was held in India in March 1977, SIX years after fifth general election, extending the FIVE years terms to SIX years for enjoying the power.
The Emergency ( 25 June 1975, - 21 March 1977 ) was darkest period of Independent India, and it stamped the thought of ruler mentality of Congress which never believe in democracy. There was a slogan raised by Congress during Indira reign was “INDIRA is INDIA & INIDA is INDIRA”. Yes, the only difference between these two words is alphabet “R” which is in the name of Indira. The “R” words stands for “RULER” which she inherited from Mr.Nehru and passed on to her successor.
Even being in a Democratic country, but having ruler mentality Congress was not able to accept the fact that some other party can come into power. Mr. Nehru, impatiently reacted by using Article 356, first time in Kerala in year 1959 and overthrew a democratically elected government.
The above act of impatience was again repeated, when their Supremacy was challenged by a Party which came into power in five states of Northern India. All the government of BJP was dismissed by using a excuse of failure of state machinery in Uttar Pradesh during Ayodhya Andolan in 1992.
After reading the above fact’s you may suggest me to change the tittle of this article from “CONGRESS & IT’S DEMOCRACY” to “CONGRESS OWN’S DEMOCRACY”
